South East London Mind wins bid to continue good work in Bromley

Local mental health and dementia charity, South East London Mind, has won a bid to continue their work in the borough. The win means the team are set to support over 1100 people this year, thanks to the new funding from SE London ICB

About the hub:

The Bromley Mental Health Hub is part of a nationwide plan from the NHS to transform community mental health care in the community and to prevent problems from getting worse. To do this, the hub provides a wide range of support from benefits support helping you find a job or your nearest volunteering opportunity.

Rosie Spiegelhalter, Director of Development, explained, “The hub is all about empowering people and giving them the tools they need to thrive. Our team works hand in hand with partners, Oxleas NHS, under the same roof. We benefit from the expertise of Oxleas NHS clinical psychologists and have strong links to specialist support for complex needs like personality disorders and trauma."

The South East London Mind part of the team includes mental health advisors who empower people with mental health problems, boost their confidence and self-esteem. As Shanice from Bromley put it, “I have found all my Mental Health Advisor’s advice, support, patience and help to be invaluable. They have helped me see the good in me again. Without judgment, the hub persevered with me, and it has paid off.”
