Mental Health Hubs announce Equality Grants for Bromley and Greenwich

Following a successful programme last year, the Bromley Mental Health Hub and the Greenwich Mental Health Hub have both relaunched their Equality Grants to support underserved communities and tackle mental health inequalities.

The grant programmes aim to fund local Voluntary, Community, and Social Enterprise (VCSE) organisations that can:

  • Improve the accessibility and inclusivity of mental health support.
  • Offer innovative approaches to care.
  • Directly address mental health inequalities within their respective boroughs.

Projects should benefit marginalised and underserved communities of adults aged 18 and above, potentially through peer-led initiatives and activities that promote social connection.

Two programmes, two communities: Key differences

While both grants share the common goal of tackling mental health inequalities, there are specific differences in the funding and eligibility criteria for organisations operating in Bromley and Greenwich.

Funding available

£5,000 - £10,000 per organisation

£10,000 - £15,000 per organisation per year

Project duration

To deliver over one year

Projects can continue for up to two years

Area

Must deliver in the Borough of Bromley

Must deliver in the Royal Borough of Greenwich

Key Eligibility

Must have up-to-date audited accounts

Must have an annual income of less than £250,000

✅ General eligibility for both programmes

To qualify for either the Bromley or Greenwich grant, organisations must:

  • Be a non-profit or registered charity.
  • Have been operating in the respective borough (Bromley or Greenwich) for a minimum of two years.
  • Ensure projects benefit residents of the specific borough, targeting marginalised and underserved adult communities (18+).
